We awoke early to walk around the Barranco area of Lima. The neighborhood is a little like SOHO, NYC—lots of museums, galleries, shops, cafes, and street art.  We explored outdoor gardens and loved the upside down flowers aka angel trumpets in bloom. We wandered the streets to the Main Square, walked across the Bridge of Sighs and strolled down the Bajada de los Baños to the Pacific Ocean. After several hours we sat down and enjoyed an Peruvian cappuccino and toast at La Panetteria. The shops were now open and the streets were busy. We walked around seeing schools, churches, museums, and galleries. In addition to many cafes and bars, Lima has numerous gelato shops—we ate a scoop of mango and Amazon chocolate at Bosco Magico. We ended the evening with a dinner at Insolina, a local restaurant packed with couples, families and even a small group on a food tour.  Dinner was a delicious combination of fish, pasta, vegetables and our first Pisco sour!   By the time we got back to the hotel we were ready to sleep.
